Kirsty is the General Manager, Research Development & Tax Incentives of DISER. Kirsty commenced her role as the General Manager responsible for the Research and Development Tax Incentive branch of the DISER in December 2020. Kirsty leads the joint administration of the R&DTI program in collaboration with the ATO and Treasury. Kirsty is a highly experienced commercial lawyer and corporate governance professional. Prior to joining the Department she was the General Manager Project Delivery for the Australian Renewable Energy Agency and General Counsel for Indigenous Business Australia. A committed development specialist, her previous experience includes working with the Northern Land Council, NSW Native Title.
There have been many developments in the R&D landscape in recent times – from the new law to areas of focus by the administrators of the scheme and the current Board of Taxation review.
